		<description>Absolutely, I can only comment for the UK, but each year the catering sector generates millions of tonnes of food waste, the vast majority of which ends up in landfill.

One solution is for restaurants to deliver their food waste to an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant. The food waste is mixed with animal waste and turned into fertiliser for arable crops. The process also produces methane which is captured and used to create renewable electricity.

I read the article, and I agree, the green movement has definitely benefited from the economic slow-down.</description>

		<description>There needs to be a streamlined process for composting food wastes amoung local restaurants.  It would seem that capturing the methane and nutrients from all this waste for reuse would greatly benefit the environment.  Am I right?
